Shae

"My naturally super curly hair is a significant part of my identity. Although I have had my ups and downs with it, I have come to appreciate it more every day, especially since I didn't see its beauty when I was younger. The lack of education and representation of natural hair in mainstream media has historically led to my negative perceptions of it. However, I have learned to embrace my unique hair texture and to properly care for it. I am proud of my tightly coiled, springy curls and their thick, voluminous appearance. To me, my hair is more than just hair - it represents my cultural heritage and gives me confidence."
