Here's a question: how much attention do you really pay to what's in your haircare products? If you're like most people, the answer is probably not much!

You've heard it before: healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Products with harsh or irritating ingredients can make your scalp dry, itchy and inflamed, and even strip the scalp of its natural oils, creating an unhealthy environment for hair growth.
At Frizz + Co., ingredients are everything to us and, in the name of transparency and education, here are some ingredients you won't find in any of our products any time soon:

Sulfates

Sulfates are a type of detergent that are commonly found in shampoos. While they can create a lather, they can also strip the hair of its natural oils, leaving it dry and brittle.

Silicones

Silicones are often added to hair products to create a shiny and smooth appearance, but they can also build up on the hair and weigh it down, making it look dull and lifeless.

Alcohol

Alcohol is commonly found in hair products and can be drying to the hair, causing it to become brittle and prone to breakage.

Parabens

Parabens are preservatives that are often added to hair products to extend their shelf life. However, they have been linked to potential health concerns, including hormone disruption.

Mineral oil

Mineral oil is a petroleum-derived ingredient that is commonly used in hair products. While it can create a barrier that helps to lock in moisture, it can also clog the pores on the scalp, leading to potential irritation and hair loss.

Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is a common ingredient in hair smoothing treatments and can be extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.
